The delegation of the special committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) plans to visit Crimea annexed by Russia from 10 until 20 September. The aim of the visit is the familiarization with the places were the stadiums will be built. The so-called President of the Crimean Football Union Yury Vetocha as TASS reported.
‘We expect the UEFA delegation in Crimea in the first half of September 2017, from 10 until 20 September. Nothing is changed yet. We got in touch with our colleagues from Switzerland by phone yesterday and received the confirmations so everything is working as it should’, Vetocha reported.
According to him, the Director of UEFA National Associations Department Zoran Lakovic will head the delegations.
‘They want to review the fields that we selected for the construction of the stadiums. It is four appropriate professional football fields with seize of 110x70 meters in Lenino village, Simferopil, Sevastopil and Dzhankoy’, he added.
The building will be held in the terms of the co-financing. The local budget will allocate one part of the money and UEFA will finance the purchase of the artificial turf for the fields.
