Two tourists died in Ukrainian Carpathians

In Carpathian Mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk region, two tourists died, who had been climbing the Pip Ivan (Chornohora) Mountain. Interfax report referring to the message of the rescuers.

“February 22, at 9:30 PM eight tourists called the search and rescue station on the Pip Ivan Mountain. Three tourists were transported by on stretchers, they were severely frostbitten (one – without life signs), five other tourists arrived by themselves”, - the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

On Friday, February, at 10:30 PM two persons from the group climbing Pip Ivan Mountain died and other six are at the rescue station. No threats to their lives.

As we reported earlier, three 28-year-old tourists from Kyiv were hit by the snow avalanche, one died near the Stig Mountain in Rakhiv, Zakarpattia region.

Having left the body of the deceased in the tent, the boys went to the recreation center and halfway they met the rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Now the boys are safe, they returned to avalanche place with rescuers to find the body of their friend”, - according to the Governor.
