Two stalkers detained in Pripyat for violation of radiation safety regime requirements

The Police officers in Pripyat detained two stalkers, who found a way into the exclusion zone without crossing checkpoints, reports the press office of the National Police in Kyiv region. 

The stalkers are a 24-year-old man from Lviv region and a 33-year-old woman from Zhytomyr region. They did this for extreme tourism, and this is how they wanted to celebrate the New Year.

The Police filed an administrative protocol for the violation of radiation safety regime requirements in the locations affected by radioactive contamination.

As we reported earlier, the border guards in Lviv region prevented an illicit crossing of Ukrainian-Polish border by four foreigners, reports the press office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. 

‘Yesterday, the border guards near the Ukrainian-Polish border detained four violators trying to illegally cross the state border,’ the guards reported. 

The first violator was noticed by the local resident, who reported on the illicit activity to the law enforcers.

‘Soon, the border patrol unit, which was on a duty nearby, detained him in 300 meters from the state border. He turned out to be a Turkish citizen,’ State Border Guard Service advised. 

‘A few hundred meters from the border, the brave men who decided to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border through the snow we arrested. They were citizens of Mongolia: 2 men and 1 woman,’ according to the press office.
