Border guards did not let two Russian citizens to Ukraine, as they previously came to annexed Crimea and occupied Donetsk in breach of the Ukrainian law. The press office of Ukraine's State Border Guard reported that on March 5.
The men, both of them musicians were detained in Kyiv's airports, Boryspil and Zhuliany. One of the detainees was Sergei Kuprik, the passenger of Riga-Kyiv flight; previously, he belonged to the Lesopoval band (Russian for "logging camp", - 112 International), and now, he's a solo performer. The man toured in Donetsk, where he came illegally, breaking the illegal procedure of border control.
Another man appeared to be a flutist; he came to Kyiv to join the classical music festival. However, he visited Crimea under an incorrect border control procedure, Ukraine's border guards claimed.
Law enforcers banned them from entering Ukraine for three years.
Earlier, the Ukrainians without foreign passports are not allowed to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border. Up to 15 people were banned from crossing the border as Ukrayinska Pravda reported citing Spokesperson of the Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko.
