A collapse of mine rock took place at Lisova coal mine in Lviv region, western Ukraine. Two mines who ended up under the debris lost their lives, as the mine rock collapsed at the depth of 242 meters. The local press reported that May 29, as the search and rescue works were over.

'Mine worker Mykhailo Turko and repair man Mykhailo Pavlyk were taken from under debris with no signs of life', the outlet wrote.

The chronologically first mentions of the accident belong to Mykhailo Volynets, the head of Independent Association of Miners of Ukraine.

Pavlyk is survived by a wife and three children; Turko, 22 years old, worked at that mine for only nine months.

The investigation into the incident is underway.
