Two detected cases of Delta coronavirus in Ukraine have nothing to do with each other, - official

The two officially detected cases of Delta coronavirus strain in Ukraine are not related to each other. Ihor Kuzin, the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine said so on air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.

"These two cases are actually observed in Kyiv, in Ukraine, and we already informed the WHO, too. These cases are not related to each other; the only thing that connects them is that the people who got sick had a previous experience of traveling into these countries where they observe outbreaks of morbidity with Delta strain", Kuzin said.

According to the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, currently the patients are staying in Oleksandrivsky hospital in Kyiv - under permanent observation of doctors. Earlier, he claimed that all the necessary measures have been taken care of so as to localize the infection. However, the hospital's press office says that they had no patients with the conflrmed Delta strain, and no patient had any symptoms related to this strain.
