Two Chinese citizens busted with illegal transportation of amber on Ukrainian border

They hid over 50 kilograms of stones among the pillows; the culprits were detained at an airport in Kyiv

Ukraine's State Border Guard detained two Chinese citizens who tried to ship 50 kilograms of amber from Ukraine illegally. The press department of the Border Guard reported that Thursday.

The foreigners tried to board the plane that goes to Beijing. In their luggage, they carried a number of pillows and used them to hide the amber. The culprits were detained at an airport in Kyiv.

"Employees of the State Border Guard and the Department for Prevention of Customs Violation of Kyiv branch of the State Fiscal Service inspected the luggage of two citizens of China. Law enforcers found stones of amber in four cases", reads the message.
