Human trials of one of the drugs could be completed in a week

Turkey began three anti-coronavirus vaccines of its own production on humans. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koji reported to the President of the Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Anadolu outlet.

So, the minister informed that human trials of one of the drugs can be completed in a week - a maximum of ten days.

In turn, the Turkish leader noted that in the near future he expects the production of his own vaccine and its use in humans.

According to the latest data, 323,014 cases of Covid-19 infection were recorded in the republic, of which 283,868 ended in recovery, and 8,384 died. The country ranks 18th in the world in terms of the number of infected.

Earlier, the Turkish authorities authorized the conduct of human clinical trials of one of two vaccines against coronavirus, the testing of which on animals was completed successfully.

As we reported before, by the end of next year, the World Health Organization (WHO) plans to produce at least two billion individual doses of coronavirus vaccine, provide 245 million treatments, and make 500 million diagnostic tests for low- and middle-income countries.
