President of the United States Donald Trump is very confident that a vaccine against the new coronavirus disease will be in the USA by the end of 2020, Radio Svoboda reports.

"I think we will have a vaccine by the end of the year. We will have a vaccine much sooner rather than later," he stated.

However, Trump stated that he would be happy for another country to beat US researchers.

I do not care, I just want to get a vaccine that works,” the US president added.

As of now, the USA remains the country with the highest coronavirus incidence - 1,156,924 cases and the highest COVID-19 death toll (67,451).

As we reported earlier, according to the Five Eye intelligence alliance, which includes the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United Kingdom, the Chinese authorities have been concealing and have been destroying data on the outbreak of the COVID-19 for a long time.

It was stated that authorities had destroyed biomaterials from laboratories and had refused to provide samples to international specialists working on the vaccine.
