Trump approves purchase of TikTok in US by Oracle and Walmart

US President Donald Trump has announced that he is approving the acquisition by US companies Oracle and Walmart of TikTok's US business from Chinese ByteDance, CNBC reports.

"I have blessed this deal. It will be great if they close it, but if not, nothing too. Conceptually, I approved the deal," the US President said.

If TikTok's U.S. operations are not sold to a U.S. company by November 12, the service, in accordance with Trump's decree, will be blocked in the United States.

As we reported before, the United States is again imposing sanctions on Iran due to the lack of progress in solving the problem of the nuclear program.

On August 20, the United States notified the UN of Iran's non-compliance with its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian Nuclear Program (JCPOA).

In the coming days, the United States would announce a number of additional measures to strengthen the implementation of UN sanctions and bring violators to justice.
