Tonight, September 2, a regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (Ukraine, Russia, OSCE) took place in the format of a videoconference, during which four further areas for the disengagement of forces and equipment were agreed. The press service of the President's Office reports that.
"The task was set for the security group to develop a detailed plan and finalize the draft addendum to the Framework Decision of the Trilateral Contact Group on the disengagement of forces and assets of September 21, 2016," the statement said.
Heidi Grau expressed her gratitude to the parties for observing the ceasefire and urged them to do everything possible to keep it.
The next group session is scheduled for September 16.
As we reported earlier, the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Minsk, Leonid Kravchuk, said that his deputy for the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), Vitold Fokin, expressed his own opinion on granting Donbas a special status, which does not coincide with the position of the government and does not meet national interests.
