Kyiv’s downtown is blocked by police due to the peaceful protests of the bank depositors and those protesting against the raise of social tariffs.

Previously, the Chief of the Head Department of the National Police in Kyiv Andriy Kryshchenko stated that the National Police of Ukraine and the National Guard switch to the enhanced patrol mode due to the high level of terrorist threat on November 15.

Now there are 5 thousand of law enforcement officers from the National Guard and Kyiv Police in the center of Kyiv. No public order disturbances spotted as of 10:00 today, on Tuesday November, 15, reported by Kyiv Police.

Mass protests are held in the governmental district of Kyiv and on the independence square. Kyiv police is taking preventative actions to avoid provocations. Law enforces call to be understanding of certain inconveniences like metal detectors and casual inspection of the citizens.

Ukrainian News reports, that 2000 people are striking in the downtown, mainly neat the building of the National Bank. The metal detectors are set up, only some protesters are being searched.

Earlier, the chief of the SBU national protection department Anatoliy Dublyk announced that the Russian Federation is preparing provocations aimed to cause early parliamentary elections in Ukraine. SBU announced that they are having the documents, indicating of the existence of the plan to destabilize the situation in Ukraine in November
