On July 10, mobile operator Vodafone-Ukraine introduced the Village Routes project: QR-routes through villages and little-known locations. The resource Zruchno.travel reports this, referring to the words of company spokeswoman Viktoria Ruban.
"Such tourist countries as Italy, France, Spain, will not be able to make up for the losses that the market suffered due to coronavirus and closed borders, but for countries such as Ukraine, now there is a real chance to leave the money of Ukrainians who We used to go abroad on holiday, inside the country, and this is precisely the situation that could be the impetus for the development of Ukrainian tourism. Famous tourist and resort cities and locations will receive a flow of tourists. We decided to put safety and low-tourism tourism in a prominent place, in the countryside," Ruban commented.
The first six online village routes are already available on findandfollow. All of them are located in the Zakarpattya region, however, there are plans to lay QR routes to interesting locations in all regions of Ukraine.
The first village routes are designed for 1-2 days, but they can be combined into long tours. Among the options are walking mountain trails, visiting museums, historical sites, tastings, picturesque locations for photos, etc.
One of the routes was developed jointly with experts from the Ukraina Incognita project. In the future, it is planned to attract other tourist communities to create routes.
