"Search and rescue works are going on, with further reconstruction to take place. The government urges people not to travel to the affected areas. The Ministry of Regional Development will allocate CZK 420 million to assist municipalities in restoring the asstes", reads the message.
The tornado tore off the rooftops, shattered window glass, and turned the cars. At least 30,000 houses were cut off the grid.
Dozens of people are at hospitals, suffering from fractures and head injuries.
According to Ukraine's Embassy in the Czech Republic, as of 10 a.m. June 25, there was no data about Ukrainian citizens who suffered in the tornado.
"Drought is on the verge of becoming the next pandemic and there is no vaccine to cure it", Mizutori said.
The UN says that in 1998-2017, the disaster caused economic damage in the amount of 124 billion dollars, affecting more than 1.5 billion people worldwide.
Currently, the global warming made the droughts in Southern Europe and Western Africa even worse, and the number of casualties can "grow drastically". Thus, according to organization, approximately 130 countries can face greater risks of drought already in this century.
