About 2 000 representatives of nationalist organizations hold a torchlight procession in honor of Stepan Bandera’s birthday in Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrainian News with reference to its correspondent.
The event was attended by activists of Svoboda association, Right Sector, National Corps, Sokil, Tryzub, Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists, C14 right-wing organizations.

As of 18:30, participants of the event are marching from the monument to Taras Shevchenko to Independence Square, where they intend to hold a viche.

Nationalists shout slogans: "Glory to Ukraine", "Glory to the nation - death to enemies", "Ukraine first of all" and "Glory to Stepan Bandera".

The column also carry a portrait of Stepan Bandera.

Stepan Bandera is a Ukrainian politician, ideologist and theorist of the Ukrainian nationalist movement of the 20th century. On the day of his birth on January 1, Ukraine traditionally hosts events commemorating his memory, which end with torchlight processions.
