Three Ukrainians died, other six were injured in a car accident in Kursk Oblast of Russia, as Vasyl Kyrylych, the official representative of the consulate service of Ukraine’s MFA told Interfax-Ukraine.

“According to the information of Ukrainian Embassy in the Russian Federation, an accident occurred on Jan. 10 in Kursk Oblast to a car registered in Ukraine, which was going from Dnipro to Saint Petersburg… As a result of the car accident, three citizens died, three suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized, and the others were lightly injured,” he said.

The diplomat also noted that the cause and circumstance of the accident will be established after an investigation. 

Kyrylych emphasized that the Ukrainian consul communicates with the health institutions where the injured Ukrainians are, as well as the local police department and the Main Directorate of the Russian Federation on emergencies in Kursk Oblast.
