The pandemic threat of the new Covid-19 coronavirus is "very real." The Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Hebreyesus stated this information, according to the website of the department.

"Now that the virus is present in many countries, the threat of a pandemic has become quite real," - he said.

The head of WHO added that strong and preventive measures to contain coronavirus offer hope that the spread of infection can be slowed down.

According to WHO, of all COVID-19 cases reported worldwide, 93% are in four countries.

Hebreysus emphasized that most patients with coronavirus recover. In China, 70% of infected people have recovered from coronavirus.
