There was no alarm or warning at the Odesa College of Economics, law and hotel and restaurant business when the fire occurred. Many students were not immediately informed about the outbreak. It was stated by the students of the college, Dumskaya reports.
"It all started on the third floor. The teacher opens the door, and there is already fog. The girls who came out began to call those who stayed upstairs. They asked: “Are you going out? Where are you?”. They said that there was no alarm," the student said.
It is reported that some students have called their parents from the burning building to say goodbye, but there is no confirmation of this yet.
As we reported earlier, Odesa College of Economics, law and hotel and restaurant business was on fire as the State Emergency Service informed.
“On December 4, at 10:12 a.m. the fire occurred at Odesa college for economics, law and hotel and catering business at the third floor of six-story building,” the message said.
The approximate fire area is 700 square meters.
