On the night of July 13, two unknown persons shelled the building of the 112 Ukraine TV channel on Dehtiarivska street 21G, Kyiv from a grenade launcher. Police qualify the incident as a terrorist act, the press service of the National Police reported.
At 3:40, the police received a message that local residents had heard a sound like an explosion on Dehtiarivska Street in the Shevchenko district of the city. Investigative-operational groups of the district and Chief Department of the Police, bomb technology, dog trainers and patrol crews immediately arrived at the scene.
On the scene, police found a damaged facade of the building and cordoned off the area adjacent to the crime scene. They also found a grenade launcher, which shall be later sent for examination.
Police qualify the incident as a terrorist act. No casualties reported.
An interception plan is introduced in Kyiv.
Currently, the efforts of law enforcement officers are aimed at identifying and detaining persons involved in the commission of an offense, as well as the motives for its crime.
