Thailand starts to host tourists

39 tourists from Shanghai arrived in the country

For the first time in seven months, Thailand has opened its border. On October 20, 39 tourists from Shanghai arrived in the country, as Channel News Asia reported.

The tourists arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on the “Special Tourist Visa” program. This program provides strict conditions. The foreigners should arrive in the country at least for 30 days with a special insurance policy. They have to pass the test for coronavirus before the entrance to the country; after the arrival, they are forced to stay in quarantine in a hotel or hospital for 14 days. Besides, foreigners should download the official app for coronavirus tracking.

It is noted that at the end of this month, at least two flights from China are expected, and at the beginning of November, about 400 foreign visitors expected.

The emergency state was imposed in Thailand on March 26. Later the authorities ordered to close the borders for tourists.

As we reported, the vaccination against Covid-19 will start in the mid of the next year. At the beginning of the next year, the data of the third phase of the vaccine trials will be available. Currently, it is developed only after it the decision about the vaccination will be made. The experts added that the current results of the trials give hope and a few pharmaceutical groups will produce millions of doses for vaccination.
