The Syrian government has approved a program of works on restoration of the city of Aleppo. This was reported by SANA agency.
The program includes opening of roads, providing city with water and electricity. The authorities will also have to assess the damage and decide which buildings can be renovated.
The plan also requires an increase in the amount of fuel in the city.
In addition, authorities approved an urgent plan for the Ministry of Education regarding the refurbishment of 50 schools in the eastern part of the city within six months. By the beginning of the next academic year it is planned to restore 100 schools.
As for security in the city, the government has instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to start patrolling and renovate police stations.
In the health sector the work plan includes the restoration of the five medical centers and two hospitals.
Also, the plan envisages the reconstruction of the railway and the airport.
Earlier it was reported that the air attacks resumed in rebel-controlled areas of the countryside near Aleppo. Air strikes hit the areas to the west, southwest and south of Aleppo, which the Syrian government has recaptured from the rebels.
