Russia’s Ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden after the incident when Russian fighter Su-27 followed Swedish military aircraft on Monday. This was reported by RIA News agency.

According to the Swedish Armed Forces, the Su-27 fighter followed Swedish military aircraft in the international airspace over the Baltic Sea at a very close distance.

It is also noted that the identification of Swedish flights by Russian aircraft is a common occurrence. The incident was reported to the government of the country.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on the situation. However, the department repeatedly stated that all flights of Russian aircraft are carried out strictly in accordance with international rules, without violating the borders of other states.

Earlier it was reported that NATO fighter F-16 approaches Russian Defense Minister’s plane. Sergey Shoygu was on board the plane.
