There was a shooting in Kharkiv, near the Vostorg supermarket located on Klochkivska Street. As a result of the incident, one person was killed, another one was injured, a "Siren" plan has been imposed in the city, the police of Kharkiv region reports.
"Police received information on the sounds of gunshots that were heard on Klochkivska Street in Kharkiv at 12:05 a.m.. According to initial information, two unidentified suspects opened fire at two men. One of them died on the way to the hospital, another is getting medical assistance. The victims are being identified. The vehicle, which suspects used in order to escape, was found next to the crime scene. It was set on fire," the message states.
A “Siren” police operation has been imposed to search and apprehend malefactors in the city and region. The issue of information entry in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations is being resolved.
A video of the shooting also appeared on the Internet (the footage contains violent scenes).
The agency "Interfax-Ukraine", citing information from social networks, reports that one of the victims in the shootout is former "fugitive" Georgy Isakov. However, there is no official confirmation or refutation of this information.
Later, the Tresch-Kharkiv Telegram channel reported that one of the participants of the shooting detonated himself with a grenade at Kharkiv railway station. Law enforcement officers have not commented on this information yet.
As we reported earlier, the corresponding video of a grenade explosion in the center of Kyiv, which took place on October, 22 and led to the deaths of two people was posted by the Director of Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Artem Shevchenko on his Facebook page.
"This lightning flash in the distance on an illuminated fragment of a video from the surveillance camera at the corner of Pushkinska Street and Shevchenko Boulevard at 22:40:05 and it is the same explosion of a grenade that took lives of two people," Shevchenko wrote.
