President Volodymyr Zelensky assured that the strengthening of the Ukrainian border due to the concentration of migrants in Belarus will not affect the movement of citizens from this country to Ukraine. This was stated in the President's address to Ukrainians, published by his press service on November 10.

"Today the National Security and Defense Council held a meeting, the first issue was the strengthening of our state border due to the situation in Belarus.I want to note that this will in no way affect the crossing of our border by Belarusian citizens," Zelensky said.

According to him, only migration challenges and threats are in question here, and Ukraine is ready to address and overcome them.

As it was reported on November 8, Belarusian journalists published a video of a large crowd of migrants heading to the Polish border. It is noted that, according to preliminary estimates, several hundred refugees were heading for the border. Among the migrants were children.

In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Poland has increased the level of combat readiness of troops. Currently, more than 15,000 soldiers are on duty at the border, they are in a state of combat readiness. At the same time, migrants claim that their ultimate goal is not Poland, but Germany.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) did not record attempts by illegal migrants to enter Ukraine from Belarus.

Germany already discussed the possibility of involving Ukraine in solving the refugee problem on Belarus-Poland border.
