A dust storm in Kyiv region led to a road accident in Kyiv region. Six cars, including four vans and two light-duty vehicles crashed on the roadway that links Kyiv, Kovel and Yahodyn. The accident resulted in human casualties. The press office of Patrol Police of Ukraine reported that on Thursday afternoon.
The clash took place on the M-07 roadway, 55 km away from the capital city. There are deceased and wounded people in the accident. The road traffic is shut down in both ways.
"We ask all those participating in the road traffic to be as much careful as possible. If there's a chance you can delay the scheduled ride - do so. If you're on the road, stop and wait for the weather to clear. Pedestrians, do not go outside if there's no necessity in it", the press office reported.
Accoridng to weather reports, the air temperature in Kyiv reaches 20 degrees above zero today, with no rains expected.
During the lockdown period, the number of road accidents has decreased by 63%. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said so as the press service of the President's Office reports.
"The national police reported that during the quarantine period, the number of crimes had decreased significantly, the number of road accidents had diminished by 63%," the president said.
