The State Film Agency has invested 45,7 million dollars in the production of domestic films over the last five years. The First Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Anatoly Maksymchuk stated this during a briefing.
According to him, this money went to the production of 224 films. It should be noted that only 1,4 million dollars were returned to the State Film Agency.
According to Maksymchuk, out of all the films that have been invested in, 146 have already appeared on the screens, 29 are still in production, 13 are pending, 17 are delayed (up to 12 weeks of delay) and 19 films are significantly delayed (more than 36 weeks of delay).
It should be noted that as of now, these data may differ. For example, according to the First Deputy Minister, the movie "The Rising Hawk" had not yet appeared on the screen at the time of analysis.
As we reported earlier, the Golden Globe Award's Longlist has been published. The list of Best Foreign Language Films, which includes 93 films from 65 countries, contains Nariman Aliev's drama "Homeward".
“Homeward” became the only Ukrainian candidate in the longlist of the Golden Glove Award.
