Workers of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine are taking soil samples to run the environment expertise in the area of Rivneazot nitrogen plant; as is known, an emergency occurred there on July 20. The authority's press service reported that on July 21.

"Specifically, soil is examined in the settlement located near the enterprise", reads the message.

The experts already checked the samples in five locations - near Rivneazot itself, in the towns of Horodok, Karayevychi, Obariv and Rivne city (partially).

According to the State Environmental Inspectorate, the emission of contaminating substance into the air has stopped.

As we reported, an explosion took place at Rivneazot, the nitrogen plant in Rivne city. The blast resulted in an orange cloud covering the city. According to Dmytro Melnyk, the spokesman of Chief Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Rivne region, there are no casualties in the incident. Weather forecasters urge residents of Rivne to carry their umbrellas when walking in the rain, since the cloud of introgen oxide rose in the air and dissolved in the water.
