Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) launched an investigation into the rape by a law enforcement officer of a minor girl in Odesa. The press service of the SBI reports.

Investigators tentatively established that on February 18, 2020, an 11th grade student from one of Odesa schools told the teacher that on February 11, during the daytime, she was invited to her home by the juvenile prevention inspector of one of the police department in Odesa of the National Police in Odesa region.

A police officer by means of blackmail forced the girl to enter into an intimate relationship with him.

At present, priority investigative and procedural actions are ongoing.

"Investigators of the territorial administration of the State Bureau of Investigation, located in the city of Nikolaev, began a pre-trial investigation into the rape of a minor (part 3 of article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," - the statement said.

As we reported before, Sofia Fedyna, the lawmaker from European Solidarity party has been notified of suspicion and summoned for an interview. The State Bureau of Investigation is to interrogate the MP, as she is suspected in "threatening to kill" President Zelensky, as the authority put it.
