The ban of admission at Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint was extended until November 15 due to the critical epidemical situation in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region as the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.
“The spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus infection in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region becomes critical…To prevent the spread of the acute respiratory disease Covid-19 and preservation of life and health of citizens, by order of the commander of the Joint Forces, the stop of the admission of people through the demarcation line at Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint is extended until November 15,” the message said.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine noted that the citizens might cross the demarcation line through this checkpoint only with a particular decision of the commander. Such a decision might be adopted based on vital circumstances of social and humanitarian nature evidenced by the documents.
Besides, by order of the commander of the Joint Forces, the citizens with registered place of residence in the temporarily occupied territory might cross the demarcation line.
Earlier, it was reported that Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint in Donbas will be closed for quarantine until October 31. The HQ noted that this decision was made to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the territory of Luhansk region.
