"The criminal authority is suspected of extorting non-existent debts from the director of a private enterprise," the statement said.
Police said the perpetrator had been convicted several times, including for intentional homicide and robbery. He has significant connections with a criminal word in Zakarpattia and the status of the so-called "watcher" in one of the districts of the region. Taking advantage of this, he demanded from the director of one of the local enterprises "debt" to replenish "savings". At the same time, he put psychological pressure on the businessman, threatening him with physical violence.
The press service notes that the suspect belongs to 111 thieves in law, included in the list of sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council.
Employees of the Zakarpattia regional prosecutor's office served the criminal "authority" with charges under part 2 of Art. 189 (Extortion) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
As it was reported, In May, the police detained two crime bosses, "underbosses", one of whom is on the sanctions list of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Both were informed of suspicion, including for the establishment and spread of criminal influence.
