Spain will become fully open to foreign tourists in the month of July. This was announced by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Euronews informs.

It is also reported that from next week quarantine restrictions will be lifted, which are among the most stringent in Europe will be lifted in this country.

“I publicly urge all tourist establishments, bars, restaurants, beaches to begin to get ready to resume work in a few days. And in July, Spain will start accepting foreign tourists without restrictions in compliance with safety rules. Therefore, foreign tourists can already begin to plan their holidays in our country," said Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

It became known that the Spanish football league would resume activity in June, although the teams will play in closed stadiums. Football matches will begin to be opened to fans no sooner than in July.

"From June 8, if everything is all right, Spain will begin the third phase, which involves the resumption of major sports and professional competitions. This also applies to the professional football league," said the Prime Minister of Spain.

The Spanish government also urges citizens to observe precautions, hygiene and social distance rules even after quarantine measures.

Note that today, May 23, Spain recorded 234,824 cases of infection with coronavirus. Of these, 28,628 people died and 150,376 were cured.
