Ukrainian pop song Plakala (I Cried) by KAZKA made it to the top among the music videos in the Ukrainian segment of YouTube video hosting.

It is the first song performed in Ukrainian, which managed to beat the Russophone singles in the top of the Ukrainian chart; until recently, the songs performed in Russian led the way.

Plakala was uploaded on YouTube on May 17, and has been climbing in the video clip charts since then. Five weeks after the upload date, it became the No.1 in the chart.

Interestingly, the current reel is not even a music video but the official audio.

YouTube's Ukrainian chart of music videos appeared in May 2018.

As we reported earlier, Tanya Malyarchuk, the Ukrainian writer, became the laureate of a prestigious award, the Ingeborg Bachman Prize, which is awarded in Klagenfurt, Austria.

According to Oleksandr Shcherba, the Ukrainian ambassador in Austria, it is one of the major prizes among the German-writing authors.
