Some Ukrainian regions restrict large seize vehicles traffic amid bad weather conditions

Due to the bad weather conditions, the movement of large seize vehicles is temporary restricted in Lviv region as Ukravtodor (State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine) reported.

“Due to the adverse weather conditions that might lead to the difficulties in the traffic and from considerations of road-traffic safety, to provide effective work of snow clearing vehicles; the State Agency of Automobile Roads in Lviv region introduced the restrictions of movement of large seize vehicles from 22:00 on February 7, 2021 up to 05:00 February 8, 2021 at the state highways,” the message said.

Particularly, the restrictions will act at such roads of Lviv region:

  • M-06 Kyiv –Chop;
  • M-10 Lviv – Krakovets;
  • M-11 Lviv – Shehyni;
  • M-09 Ternopil – Lviv – Rava Ruska;
  • Western bypass of Lviv;
  • H-09 Mukachevo – Lviv;
  • H-17 Lviv – Lutsk;
  • R-15 Kovel – Zhytomyr.

Moreover, according to the decision of the Kyiv State City Administration on ban of entrance from 15:00 to Kyiv of large seize vehicles, to prevent gathering of such vehicles at the borders of Kyiv region, the measures were assumed from 13:00 on the restriction of the movement of large seize vehicles within Kyiv, Poltava, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.

Kyiv region:

  • M-01 Kyiv – Chernihiv;
  • M-03 Kyiv – Kharkiv;
  • M-05 Kyiv – Odesa;
  • M-06 Kyiv – Chop;
  • M-07 Kyiv – Kovel;
  • H-01 Kyiv – Znamyanka;
  • H-08 Boryspil – Mariupol.

Poltava region:

  • M-03 Kyiv – Kharkiv;
  • H-08 Boryspil – Mariupol.

Rivne region:

  • M-06 Kyiv – Chop.

Zhytomyr region:

- M-06 Kyiv – Chop;

- M-07 Kyiv – Kovel.

Cherkasy region:

  • M-05 Kyiv – Odesa;
  • H-01 Kyiv – Znamyanka;
  • H-08 Boryspil – Mariupol.

Chernihiv region:

  • M-01 Kyiv – Chernihiv;
  • H-07 Kyiv – Sumy.

Moreover, it is noted that during the night in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsk, Kyiv and Cherkasy region, from three up to 15 cm of snow has fallen. The light snow is observed in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kyrovohrad, Odesa, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Kherson and Kharkiv regions. In Mykolaiv region, the rain with snow is observed; ice slick reported.

“The state of surface at the state highways in the majority of the regions is snow-covered; ice slick observed in south regions,” the message said.

At the mountain pass area in Zakarpattia and Lviv regions, rain is observed. The roads are wet; in Ivano-Frankivsk region at Vyshkovskiy mountain pass is snow-covered.

As we reported, amid the bad weather, the airports of Lviv and Odesa canceled some flights. A number of flights will arrive in Ukraine with a delay.
