Snowfall in Kyiv, authorities ask enterprises to cut work day for staff

Snowfall began in Kyiv on Friday afternoon. It followed the strong wind gusts that took place in the morning. As the weather conditions worsened, the city hall asks managers of enterprises and NGOs to cut the work day for their staff. Vitaliy Klitschko, the mayor posted this on Telegram.

The official turned to fellow Kyivites, asking them to stay indoors. He advised people to avoid driving their personal vehicles unless extremely necessary. Klitschko added that delays could occur in the work of public transport, too.

This weekend, the average daily temperature in Kyiv is supposed to make +7...+9 C. Weather forecasts indicate there will be snowy clouds above the Ukrainian capital.

Last month in Ukraine was cold and snowy; on several occasions, weather complications affected the road and air traffic in this country.
