Slovyansk town authorities in Donbas boost lockdown measures due to Covid-19 outbreak

Quarantine measures will be reinforced in Slovyansk, Donetsk region, as the outbreak of coronavirus took place in the town. The press office of the town council reported that on Facebook.

Three new cases were confirmed in the town over 24 hours. Another four people were taken to a hospital with suspicion for the disease.

Given the epidemiological situation, the regional commission for emergencies decided to temporarily close gyms and ban the education process in groups. 

On May 22, Ukraine switched to the so-called adaptive quarantine, when regional authorities can weaken or boost the restrictions, depending on the epidemiological situation.

On June 1, 28 people got infected with coronavirus in Kyiv; five of them are medics. 3,071 laboratory-confirmed cases were spotted in the capital as Kyiv Mayor Vitality Klitschko reported.

One person died from coronavirus in 24 hours. Totally, 69 lethal cases were registered.

Thus, 11 women at the age of 21 up to 63, 15 men at the age of 29 up to 80, two girls of two and five years old got infected over one day. 11 patients were hospitalized, while others stay in self-isolation under the control of doctors.
