As of Wednesday, March 4, one case of Covid-19 coronavirus was recorded in Ukraine, six more people are suspected and now they are waiting for the results of the tests. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Liashko during a briefing.
According to him, the condition of the infected man is stable. The patient has no temperature and symptoms of pneumonia. At this moment, he is under the supervision of doctors.
Ukraine’s Deputy Health Minister also noted that six more people were suspected of coronavirus. They are isolated and awaiting the results of the tests.
As we reported earlier, yesterday, on March 3, Ukraine confirmed the first case of COVID-19 or coronavirus.
The case was spotted in the Chernivtsi region. A man returned to Ukraine from Italy and entered Ukraine through the border with Romania.
According to Ukraine's Deputy Minister, the wife of the infected man stays in self-isolation in her flat.
“The woman stays in the self-isolation in her flat without symptoms of acute viral respiratory infections. A medical worker stays in constant touch with her. In case of symptoms, she will be also examined; the samples for the research will be taken and hospitalization will take place in case of need,” Liashko noted.
