Six metro stations closed in Kyiv because of bomb threats

On Sunday, Feb. 18, the law enforcement checks the information about bomb threats on six metro stations of Kyiv, the press service of the Kyiv police informs.

These are Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho, Unviersytet, Teatralna, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, and Khreshchatyk.

A police department received an anonymous phone call in which a man said that he overheard two men talking, and they said that in an hour, there will be explosions at five metro stations.

In order to check this information, explosion experts and bomb-sniffing dogs went on sire.

The stations have been closed off and evacuated. The law enforcement is working on establishing the individual who called.

It’s worth pointing out that a number of events is taking place in downtown Kyiv today, including the commemoration of the Heavenly Hundred and the march of  Mikhail Saakashvili’s supporters.
