The situation with supplies of liquid chlorine has stabilized, all companies operate in normal mode without limiting the water supply. This was reported in the association Ukrvodokanalecology.
"Dniproazot JSC resumes the work of the chlorine group of labs, in the near future it is expected to produce the first products. At the enterprises of the water and sewerage it is possible to buy liquid chlorine in Romania and Hungary at low prices, but there is a need for further study of delivery issues," reads the message.
Ukrvodokanalecology noted that the availability of liquid chlorine is satisfactory, "but sufficient to ensure high-quality and uninterrupted water supply."
Earlier administration of "Dniroazot" reported about the resume of the operation of the chlorine plants as the press service of the enterprise reported.
It is stated that the operation of the plants for the production of the reagent will start today on July 20.
"At the moment, the preparatory works for the start of the production are finished. The production of the first product is expected soon," the message said.
As we reported the Security Service of Ukraine began the check of the actions of the "Dniroazot" officials that led to the creation of the liquid chlorine deficit, the main reagent for the continued provision of the drinking water for the population.
As it was reported earlier, the stocks of the liquid chlorine in Kyiv are running extremely low; the lack of the substance used for cleansing of the water may result in the situation where the residents may be left without supplies of drinking water.
Previously, Ukrainian water companies faced a tough situation with the disinfection of water supplies, since Dniproazot company, the manufacturer of liquid chlorine announced that it would stop production of the substance and, thus, stop the supplies. Due to the fact, some water pipeline companies have enough chlorine for up to no more than 20 days.
In spite of the fact that the government already reached the agreement with Dniproazot, the production still has not been restored so far.
