At this moment, there are no protests in Novi Sanzhary where Ukrainians, evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan, were put under quarantine. It was reported by the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"The situation here is calm now. Police officers are patrolling all around the perimeter, they are standing at all entrances and exits. There are no local residents near the medical center. The bridge, where the protests took place yesterday, is empty, everything is cleaned up,” the correspondent notes.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the citizens of Ukraine that had been evacuated from China would be sent to Novi Sanzhary sanitarium. This evoked the outrage of the locals.

Its authorities stated that there were no conditions and means for the treatment of people diseased with coronavirus or for the provision of quarantine.

As a result, protesters, armed with sticks, cans, and stones, tried to attack the buses that were carrying evacuated Ukrainians to the medical center.
