The Ukrainian side is studying scenarios regarding the resolution of the situation in the Sea of Azov. The issue is complex, and we are not talking about a violation of law by the Russian Federation, but about its abuse. This was announced by Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories Georgiy Tuka, Apostrophe reports.
"The situation is very complicated, but I can not say that we lost the Sea of Azov. I'm not ready to disclose certain scenarios that we are currently studying, including the use of force to solve the problem. The question is very complicated. I just would not want to talk about the forthcoming actions without a definite decision, "he said.
Tuka is sure that Russia is openly abusing its right.
"... there is still such a term as abuse of right: Russia openly abuses its right, and this also applies to our domestic legislation regarding citizens, for example, when activists begin to break the door, going somewhere and telling: We have the right! This is an abuse of law, there are certain scenarios about how to improve the situation, of course, not independently, but with the help of our allies and partners. Such opportunities exist, "the deputy minister added.
We recall, on July 15 in the Sea of Azov, Russia seized 148 vessels for review. In this regard, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed the Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff and the Ukrainian Navy Commander to take measures to stop Russian provocations with regard to blocking the entry of ships into Ukrainian ports on the Azov Sea.
Ukraine also advocates the imposition of sanctions against the Black Sea ports of the Russian Federation due to the blockade of the Sea of Azov.
