In pharmacies in Ukraine due to increased demand there is a shortage of medical masks. This became known during a conference call of the Ministry of Health with the heads of regional departments of the department, as well as after a meeting with manufacturers of surgical masks and their suppliers, as Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to the commercial director of one of the largest network of Ukrainian pharmacies, recently the demand for medical masks has grown by 15 times, so pharmacy chains and suppliers are not able to fully meet such demand.

“The demand for masks in connection with the new information about the coronavirus has grown 15 times. We contacted the suppliers, but their masks also ran out. Not a single supplier can provide such a demand. The fact is that most of the masks come from China, it takes a lot of time," - he said

Meanwhile, among the five pharmacies surveyed in Kiev, there were not only one medical mask in the presence of medical masks, and in some networks are available only on request.
