Shooting at U.S.-Mexico border: At least 14 killed

Mexican law enforcement officers confronted a group of armed gang members in Villa Union, about 65 km from the US border, killing at least 14 people. It is reported by  Deutsche Welle

It is noted that as a result of the shootout, four officers were killed and six were injured. At the same time, at least 10 militants died.

It is noted that the gang entered the city with a population of 3,000 people in a pickup convoy and stormed the building of the local city council.

Coahuila Governor Miguel Рngel Riquelme said the attackers were members of the Northeast Cartel from neighboring Tamaulipas. It is also reported that a number of municipal employees went missing.
