Gunmen opened fire in front of the mosque in Avignon, France, La Provence wrote.

‘At about 10.30 p.m. local time, two masked men approached the mosque by car. When people began to leave, they opened fire, using a handgun and a rifle,’ the article says.

Four civilians were wounded, none were killed, the police say.

The attackers fled the crime scene. Law enforcers do not consider the attack a terrorist act.
