Shooting in Odesa: Police detain two suspects

The law enforcement officers detained the suspects of the attack on the activist of organization 'Automaidan Odesa,' the press office of General Directorate of Odesa National Police reports. 

‘The two suspects detained in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi city within several hours. They were delivered to the police department in Odesa. The investigation established that the armed conflict is connected with one of the lotto markets located in the city,’ reads the message.

Currently, the investigation into the case is continuing. In particular, the law enforcement officers taking measures to identify and detain other individuals involved in the commission of the misdemeanor. 

Reportedly, October 6, a shooting incident took place on Lyustdorfs'ka Rd in Odesa, southern Ukraine. One person was injured in action. The investigation found out that a car approached one of the vehicles at the traffic light near a gas station; the unknown got out of the car, fired several shots and fled the scene.

According to the local outlet, the attack was directed against one of the participants of 'Automaidan Odesa' organization led by Yevhen Rezvushkin. He was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the lumbar area and thigh. Currently, an operational investigative unit and cynologists with dogs are working at the scene. Interception activity has been introduced in the city.
