Shooter wounds street musician in Lviv

The 20-year-old female suffers a hip wound, her life's beyond danger

A shooting incident occurred in the downtown Lviv, western Ukraine. A female violinist was shot in the hip from a pneumatic handgun at Cathedral Square. The girl was taken to a hospital, and the shooter disappeared.

The city hotline's Facebook page reported that, adding that the attack occurred on Sunday afternoon. 

The victim said she came from Myrhorod, Poltava region, central Ukraine. She was going to get back home that day.

The shooter's identity is still being defined; the police keep searching for him, as he is now charged with 'hooliganism'.

Earlier, a Ukrainian who traveled with her husband to Mexico City to celebrate the first wedding anniversary was shot dead in a drive-by shooting incident, as The Washington Post reports.

Mirutenko was killed early Saturday morning in an apparent drive-by shooting in Lomas de Chapultepec, a wealthy neighborhood in the Mexican capital better known for its mix of Colonial and modern-style mansions than for violence.

27-year-old Tetiana was leaving a taco restaurant in Lomas de Chapultepec with her husband and two friends when she was struck by a stray bullet fired by gunmen on a passing motorcycle.

Mexican officials said the intended target had been a local bouncer, who was also struck but survived.

Reportedly, a Ukrainian student died in Slovakia. She fell out from the balcony on the fourth floor of the dormitory
