The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal flew to the Luhansk region to assess the scale and damage from the fires. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
"We are flying to the Luhansk region. Together with the head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechotkin, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Serhiyi Yarovoy and the head of the State Forestry Agency Vasily Kuzevich, we will assess the scale of the fires," Shmygal said.
According to him, the process of overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster will be coordinated during the trip.
As we reported before, in the Luhansk region, 85 fires were recorded, most of them were not localized and not liquidated. There is a threat of a fire spreading to settlements.
"On the territory of the Luhansk region, 85 fires were recorded, of which 42 were liquidated, 43 were not localized but not liquidated," the message says.
