August 12, a hearing on the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet took place in the Kyiv Court of Appeal, during which suspect Andriy Antonenko, known as Riffmaster, was left in custody. The message of the public organization Free Riff stated this.
According to his lawyer, the court did not satisfy the defense appeal.
"Antonenko was left in custody, our appeal was not satisfied," lawyer Stanislav Kulik said.
On July 17, the Pechersky District Court of the city of Kyiv extended the preventive measure in the form of detention in custody for Andriy Antonenko for another two months, that is, until September 17.
As we reported before, Kyiv Appeal Court changed the restriction measure for suspect Yulia Kuzmenko. She is released from custody but transferred to round-the-clock house arrest.
The court convened for a session on August 11, 11.30 a.m. Kyiv time. This is the third time that the jury tried to hold the session after the prosecution team failed to show up, which is why the defense team of Kuzmenko filed the appeal.
