An explosion near police station in Damascus was arranged by a girl aged about seven to nine years.

This was reported by the BBC-Ukraine with reference to the Syrian media.

According to the newspaper Al-Watan, which is close to the Government of Syria, on the body of the girl was fixed an explosive belt. The newspaper reported that the explosive was activated remotely.

An eyewitness told to Reuters news agency, he saw a little girl entered the police building. There she clarified, where the toilet is, and then there was an explosion, the report said.

State agency SANA, citing sources in the police said that the explosion occurred near a police station in the district of Midan in the capital of Syria - Damascus.

Information about the victims varies. According to some reports nobody died but the girl. According to the Syrian Centre for the Observation of Human Rights in the incident, there are other dead. The number of victims is also not yet specified.
