Six patients stay at the infectious hospital

In Khmelnytsk region, seven cases of coronavirus were spotted. Six people stay in the infectious hospital as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Head of Khmelnytsk Oleksandr Symchyshyn.

“Seven is the number of diseased in Khmelnytsky region; four of cases are in Khmelnytsky. Six patients stay in the infectious disease, it is the city one but serves for the whole Khmelnytsk region. One more patient stays in Shepetivka,” the mayor reported.

He also added that two doctors are among infected citizens. Both worked at the military hospital; one of them visited the regional medical facility.

All contact persons in the military hospital were checked by polymerase chain reaction tests. One results is not ready and all others are negative.

“There is no issue in shops; all shops work. Concerning the provision of the hospitals, if there are the outbreak and hundreds of ill people, there will be problems. We buy personal protective equipment. We are preparing,” Symchyshyn said.

He added that there are 1,100 express tests in the region. However, they detect infection only after the fifth day. All analyses should be checked by polymerase chain reaction anyway.

Currently, every person staying at the infectious hospital with pneumonia is checked; there are 18 persons. Besides, children with pneumonia will be checked.

As we reported, on April 2, 804 cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus were registered in Ukraine. The number of patients has increased by 135.

Besides, the first case of infection with coronavirus spotted among the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
