A series of explosions took place in Damascus (Syria), at least 40 people were killed, more than 120 were injured, Reuters reported citing the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
According to the report, the bombs exploded near the city cemetery of Bab Sagir. Theiк aim were the buses in which the Iraqi pilgrims at the cemetery.
According to the publication, the bombs were activated by two suicide bombers. The gap between the explosions was 10 minutes.
At the moment no terrorist groups have claimed responsibility for the attack.
Earlier in the Syrian capital, Damascus, a powerful explosion occurred near the sports complex in the Kafrsu district. Then it was reported about eight dead, and a large number of seriously wounded.
